Job Description

The Manager is an intermediate-level, experienced professional who has worked at least 3-4 years in the global HEOR department at a pharmaceutical company or companies as a contractor or full-time employee. This individual must be able to review drug product information (protocols, CSRs, landscape information) and develop a HEOR, Market Access, and evidence generation plans with limited guidance. This individual must also have experience managing a variety of key HEOR project types such as SLRs, ITCs, GVDs, CEAs, BIMs, and payer landscape assessments with limited guidance. This individual must also demonstrate ability to conduct and critically evaluate at least 2-3 of these HEOR project types mentioned above. This individual must demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate technical information and market access strategy to members of the cross-functional teams (commercial, clinical development, medical affairs, biostatistics, and regulatory affairs). This individual must be able to incorporate HEOR endpoints into RCT protocols, SAPs, CRFs, and write-up the HEOR data in the CSR.
This GV&A Manager serves as a GV&A product lead for Alzheimer’s disease on the relevant cross-functional teams, ensuring the following for each product with limited guidance:
• Managing collaborations with other departments
• Assessing/planning evidence generation needs and strategic imperatives • Partnering with the Global Value & Access (GV&A) to evolve the value proposition for each product and liaise with core agency partners to assist with key customer communication
• Partnering with the Global Market Access team (GMAT) to develop market access plans
• Delivering timely, strategic, high-quality deliverables
The Manager will fulfill the following objectives with limited guidance:
• Evidence generation assessment and development plan
• Targeted literature reviews to support strategy development
• Evidence gap assessment
• Clinical trial protocol & SAP review
• HEOR endpoint selection for clinical studies
• PRO development advice and execution
• Project management with vendors
• Training and tool roll-out delivery
• Contract & budget tracking
The Manager will work within the GV&A therapeutic team reporting to the Senior GV&A Director for the Business Group. The Manager, with limited guidance, will be the product lead for their area and manage the timely completion of high-quality projects, and ensure alignment with product clinical and commercial plans under the oversight of the Senior Director.

The Manager is expected to be the product expert and be deeply familiar with all-payer evidence requirements with limited guidance. This person will be expected to support local country pricing and reimbursement submissions and negotiations. As a corollary, the Manager should have a good working knowledge of the range of healthcare reimbursement systems and reimbursement guidelines.
This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong evidence generation and strategy development background.
The Manager should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work well in multidisciplinary, dynamic team environments.
Development Opportunities:
• Lead vendor relationship and management with the partner to obtain best thinking and execution of plans for access, HEOR, and pricing/reimbursement communications • Identify needs for Advisory Board activity and develop plans to ensure optimal execution of meetings and develop relationships with key external advisors to maximize partnership engagement and identify future opportunities aligned with product brand strategy

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
• The minimum level of education and years of relevant work experience,
• Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates required,
• Physical requirements
• A postgraduate degree such as a Ph.D., MPH, or MS in a Health Services Research or similar field is required.
• 3-4 years of experience in a HEOR industry department is required.
• Prior exposure in carrying out a variety of HEOR studies using a range of standard techniques
• Demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally within teams
• Strong Excel model skills
• Effective analytical/ problem-solving skills, including the generation of original and innovative ideas and solutions
• Action-oriented, customer-focused, with effective prioritization, goal-setting and time management skills
• Prior exposure in the design claims analysis and observational studies is desirable
• Effective interpersonal skills; projection of professional image and credibility; teamwork oriented and inclusive
• Prior exposure of the PRO guidance is necessary and experience is a plus
• Prior exposure of health policy initiatives in any country is desirable
• Prior exposure with supporting a payer submission in any country is desirable
• Prior exposure of ISPOR guidelines is a desirable
• Peer-reviewed publications of original work in HEOR is desirable
