Job Description

Demonstrates through behavior, Florida Hospital’s Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship and Teamwork as outlined in the organization’s Performance Excellence Program
• Installs desktop hardware and software to include desktop and laptop PCs, printers, scanners, PDAs, operating systems, standard desktop software, internal and third party developed software. Software installation may be from a Management Information Systems developed image or a standard installation.
• Troubleshoots and corrects problems with any standard Florida Hospital desktop hardware or software.
• Provides customer response and updates according to current management standards.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all computer and peripheral equipment at MIS and other locations (including FH laptops).
• Updates electronic call tickets, logs, and databases with appropriate and timely information.
• Troubleshoots wired/wireless networking issues related to desktop/laptop/printer.
• Installs and maintains Time Clock hardware and connectivity.
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department

Job Requirements

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of solving problems quickly and accurately. Able to read and comprehend technical manuals and instructions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good discretion as position has access to confidential patient and company information.
• Able to work independently and with other team members, with little direct supervision
• Above average ability and experience with Windows operating systems, MS office packages, and Outlook email clients. Basic knowledge of networking concepts, and the Novel and mainframe environments.
