Position description:
• This position reports to the Finance Director of Cardiac Surgery (CS) focusing primarily on providing business partnering and financial support to the global marketing organization ($15M in annual spend) and assisting with financial planning, analysis and reporting for the global Cardiac Surgery business ($800M in annual revenue). This role closely partners with the CS Finance Director, CSH FP&A Finance Director, Regional & Functional Finance teams, CS Marketing team and CS Senior Staff.

Position responsibilities:
• Support Finance Director for CS in managing the global P&L & strategic initiatives, including monthly & quarterly reporting, forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning and target modeling.
Analyze and communicate period-end (both monthly and quarterly) results:
• Provide weekly revenue snapshot reporting
• Perform quarterly analysis & reporting of WW CS metrics (i.e., revenue, ASP, volume, market share, margins, P&L, SFCF).
• Business Partner with CS Marketing & Regional partners to understand drivers of results and communicate to Senior Management.
• Prepare deep dive revenue analytics for the CS business including;
• WW Revenue, ASP and Volume reporting down to the Regional and Product level
• Assist in preparation of CS QBR’s, QAR’s, IR Prep and other quarterly reporting
• Perform monthly analysis & reporting of CS Marketing Cost Center expenses.
• Expense management – Provide financial expense reporting and analysis, ensuring spending is within budget and company policies.
• Assist with annual & strategic planning and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes:
• Validate reasonableness & identify drivers of global CS revenue, margins & spending budget, forecasts, & LBEs submitted by geographies & functions.
• Perform AOP expense budgeting & forecasting for CS Marketing cost centers, including business partnering with marketing function to ensure we are maximizing investments across cost centers
• Business partner with the CS functional groups in preparation of the Strategic Plan financials
• Support business partnering and decision support to Cardiac Surgery Marketing organization and CS Senior Staff related to driving results and strategic initiatives.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
• Business partner with regional leaders to develop analytics and strategies to improve profitability
• Help drive alignment between S&OP demand forecast and Finance Revenue forecast
• Partner with CS staff on portfolio product rationalization analysis and analytics
• Business analytics by CFN including Revenue, Units and standard margin
• Prepare launch dashboards, maintain account ramp/revenue models and distribution models as needed
• Lead process improvement effort to enhance analytical tools (data visualization, trending, etc.) that identify and highlight key business trends and drivers
• Help develop CSH business unit ROIC/Cash Flow metrics and strategies for improvement
• Work with BD and CS leadership on development of ECLS strategy, financials, market modeling and integration of MC3
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and modeling as required

Job Requirements

• Solid accounting (GAAP), financial and business management foundation
• Proficient in MS Office package (Excel - including use of macros and lookup tables, Word, PowerPoint)
