Job Description

• Through direction of the Benefits Manager(s), assist in the implementation and day-to-day administration of client and client LI’s retirement and health & welfare programs. • Ensure that such programs are compliant within regulatory and plan provisions. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting with benefits communications, third-party vendor management (including monitoring service levels), legal and regulatory compliance, reporting and analysis, labor relations support for union health and welfare programs and employee education.

Job Requirements

• Proficient in Excel and associated applications (i.e. MS Office Applications) • Understanding of HRIS databases and data file structures; strong computer literacy skills. • Analytical skills required • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent written and verbal communications, ability to work with different departments and third-party resources to achieve mutual goals. • Ability to use best practice and knowledge or internal and/or external business issues to improve products or services. • Ability to solve complex problems and to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. • Candidate must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity. Successful candidate must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices. • Light travel to Long Island required • Bachelor’s degree • 2- 4 years benefits work experience. • Working Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA and other regulatory provisions impacting Health, Welfare and Retirement Plans
